According to Deng, China appreciates the efforts made by the Ford Foundation in promoting economic and social development in developing countries, including China, as well as its great contribution to advancing international development cooperation.
And CIDCA is willing to strengthen mutual trust through increasing communication and exchange with the Ford Foundation, to seek cooperative projects related to people's livelihoods, and to jointly advance the Belt and Road Initiative and the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, said Deng.
Hilary Pennington congratulated Deng on the establishment of the China International Development Cooperation Agency and expressed the Ford Foundation's commitment to promoting economic and social development as well as cultural exchanges around the world.
Further cooperation with CIDCA is expected, especially those related to Africa, according to Pennington. She suggested that both sides make full use of their advantages to jointly promote international development cooperation.
