In recent years, Ulaanqab (Ulanqab) in Inner Mongolia has taken advantage of convenient transportation and sufficient clean energy, participated in the construction of “Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Big Data Corridor”, and created “Grassland Cloud Valley” to develop cloud computing, Internet software and communication.
Ulaanqab municipal government and Huawei Cloud Data Center signed a strategic cooperation agreement regarding big data, artificial intelligence and smart administration platforms on March 24.
Accelerating industrial transformation and upgrading modes of economic development, the Ulaanqab government has positioned cloud computing and big data as its leading industries. The construction of Grassland Cloud Valley is an ongoing Ulaanqab city strategy.
In October 2016, Inner Mongolia autonomous region was approved as a comprehensive experimental zone for big data development. Ulaanqab, with the support from regional policies, has successfully promoted its data industry, thanks in part to the environmental advantages it enjoys in climate and geological structure.
Ulaanqab aims to soon construct a national-level demonstration cloud-computing base to serve the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei economic area and cities in North China.
The city aims to fully cooperate with Huawei in the future, continuously meet the growing needs of information technology based on a sound investment environment, excellent service and convenient transportation.
