Inner Mongolia Zhonghuan Solar Materials Co Ltd (内蒙古中环光伏材料有限公司) was established by Tianjin Zhonghuan Semiconductor Co Ltd (holding 80 percent of the shares) and Shanghai Aerospace Automobile Electromechanical Co Ltd (holding 20 percent) in 2009. It is committed to green renewable energy solar cell mono-crystalline silicon materials industrialization projects.

It was named a high-tech enterprise in 2011 and a provincial R&D center in 2012. It was listed as a manufacturing industrial informatization model of the 12th Five-Year Plan and a pilot in intellectual property in the same year. 

With Inner Mongolia Zhonghuan Solar Materials Co Ltd as the leading company, a total of 17 companies achieved 5.58 billion yuan ($85 million) in industrial output during the first seven months of this year. The company is currently a world-leading solar monocrystalline supplier with the best product quality and largest volumes of production and sales.
