In front of the gate of Zhongxiao Hall is a 28-meter-high stone statue of Confucius, weighing more than 1,000 tons. The appearance and expressions of the Confucius statue refer to the stone statue made by Wu Daozi in the Tang Dynasty (618-907); its dress and posture follow the old paintings of Confucius teaching. The statue stands on the south side of Zhongxiao Culture Park; an old stone man in his sixties or seventies looking solemnly and kindly into the distance. It was erected during the fourth stage of the construction of Zhongxiao Park, which covered more than 20 acres and had an investment of more than 10 million yuan.
Next to the south side of Zhongxiao Hall there is a fishing center and a large conference room with a capacity of more than 200 people. The center also hosts a banquet hall able to accommodate 300 people, a special aquatic restaurant and several high-end private rooms. As well as standard rooms it offers a multifunctional wooden house combining accommodation, business, and entertainment.
Visitors to Zhongxiao Cultural Park can enjoy excellent accommodation and the enchanting scenery of canal towns in areas south of the Yangtze River while experiencing the unique charm of garden art.
