Lianjiang high school named Tsinghua's excellent admission base

Lianjiang City Experimental School was designated as the 2018 Excellent Source of Students for Tsinghua University on Aug 13, the first school in western Guangdong to receive the honor.

As one of China's most renowned universities, Tsinghua has high standards for student admissions. Lianjiang was selected as an excellent admission base due to the number of students from the school entering Tsinghua and the comprehensive quality of students from the school.

By naming the high school its admission base, the university aims to deepen cooperation with the school and encourage more students from Lianjiang City Experimental School to apply for admission to Tsinghua.

Founded in 2014, Lianjiang City Experimental School is a young but capable high school. It now has more than 760 outstanding teachers from all over the country and was named a first-level high school of Guangdong province in February.

This year, 10 students from the high school were admitted to Tsinghua and Peking universities after the national college entrance examination. One of its students, Zhou Junbao, ranked first among all science students in Guangdong.
