Featuring joint development of land and sea ports, airports and cruise homeports, Xiamen Area of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone (中国(福建)自由贸易试验区厦门片区, XMFTZ) comprises the Haicang Port Area of the Southeast International Shipping Center and the Core Area of the Cross-straits Trade Center.

Haicang Port Area of the Southeast International Shipping Center

Established on June 5, 2008, Haicang Port Area of the Southeast International Shipping Center covers an area of 24.41 square kilometers and consists of six functional areas, namely, port operations, logistics warehousing, export processing, imports and exports inspection, rail transport services and other supporting services. It is designed to develop port-vicinity industries, such as shipping logistics, imports and exports, bonded logistics, valued-added processing, service outsourcing and bulk commodities trade.

Core Area of the Cross-straits Trade Center

Established in October 1992, Core Area of the Cross-straits Trade Center covers an area of 19.37 square kilometers, including the 0.6-square-kilometer Xiangyu Bonded Zone and the 0.7-square-kilometer Xiangyu Bonded Logistics Park. It focuses on the development of emerging industries and high-end service industries, such as high-tech scientific research, information consumption, airport-based industry, international trade related services, financial services, professional services and cruise economy.
