Guangzhou opens airport command and control center to public

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Guangzhou Teenager Science and Technology Center held a special activity on Aug 16, offering a chance for young teenagers from Guangzhou to visit the city's Airport Operations Center (AOC).

The self-service area for consignment at T2 Terminal was in the itinerary of the young visitors, where they learned that the airport has 52 self-service consignment machines which enable passengers to complete their consignment within three minutes.

The children also toured the largest ground transportation center (GTC) in South China where they experienced the convenience of transportation in Guangzhou at the airport.

The tour to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport's AOC, the heart of an airport, was the most interesting experience for the children. This was the first time for the building, which handles the landing and departure of over 1,200 planes daily, to open to the public.
