China National Silk Museum
Situated on the southern bank of West Lake in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, China National Silk Museum was the first State-level silk-themed museum in China as well as the biggest silk museum in the world. It opened on Feb 26, 1992.
The museum has eight exhibition halls: the Preface Hall, Relics Hall, Folk Customs Hall, Dyeing and Weaving Hall, and Modern Achievements Hall, displaying Chinese silk culture in its many facets.
