The Inner Mongolia language translation association was recently launched at Hohhot Minzu College in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The launch ceremony also elected the first council members including the association's president, vice-president and secretary-general.
As a non-profit institution initiated by translators working in the autonomous region, the association aims to build itself into a platform for members to discuss their research and improve training.
According to the association, it will organize discussions on the teaching of translation and promote further study of translation theories, as well as working to enhance the skill level of translators working in Inner Mongolia.
