Xiamen Software Park listed among China's outstanding parks in 2018

The Xiamen Software Park was appraised as a 2018 Outstanding Industrial Parks of Big Data Industry in China together with seven other parks, according to the 2018 Big Data Industry Ecological Conference held in Beijing from Aug 2 to 3.

The selection was made based on industrial parks' innovation ability, industrial gathering, economic development, and sustainable development.

The rapid development of the Xiamen park in the big data industry epitomizes the park's prosperous software and service industries.

Enterprises in the park generated 83.87 billion yuan ($12.2 billion) in 2017, accounting for 65.3 percent of the total industry output in Xiamen, and 41 billion yuan ($6 billion) was generated by those enterprises during the first six months of this year, up by 18.26 percent year-on-year.

In the furure, the park will continue to nurture big data, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and other emerging industries with the aim of constructing an innovative and international sci-tech park and helping the rapid development of Xiamen's software and information software industries.

The 2018 Big Data Industry Ecological Conference invited dozens of experts to share the big data industry's development trends, technological innovation and application practices at home and abroad.
