Jiangsu Second Normal University sits in Nanjing, Jiangsu province and was formerly known as Jiangsu Education Institute in 1952. The facility was one of the first 17 public institutes of higher learning in Jiangsu after China was founded. It became a provincial general undergraduate education facility after getting approval from the Ministry of Education in 2013.
The university has paid great attention to academic exchanges and cooperation with the outside world. It has established partnership with more than 20 institutes of higher learning and scientific research organs in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia, as well as China's Hong Kong and Taiwan. Particularly, it has held joint education programs with the Southern Cross University in Australia.
