China Construction America (CCA), a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corp Ltd (CSCEC), one of the world's largest investment and construction groups, recently won the bid to construct the national highway B line of Argentina, a project that will advance regional economy across the country.
The highway, stretching for 538 kilometers, will link Buenos Aires province and La Pampa province, major industrial and agricultural economic zones in Argentina.
The construction period is five years. The bid includes designing, building, upgrading, operating and maintaining the highway within a period of ten years.
It's the first public-private partnership project a Chinese company has conducted in Argentina. The contract amount is $2.13 billion.
