CIDCA vice chairman meets with UN high commissioner for refugees

On Aug 10, Deng Boqing, vice chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), held talks with Filippo Grandi, the United Nations high commissioner for human rights.

They exchanged views on global cooperation in the field of refugees.

Deng introduced China’s work on providing humanitarian relief for refugees worldwide and said that China is willing to strengthen cooperation with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) to meet global humanitarian challenges, promote the implementation of the Transforming our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and build a community of shared future for mankind.

Grandi firstly congratulated Deng on the establishment of the CIDCA and thanked China for its support of the work of the UNHCR.

He hoped to expand cooperation with the CIDCA to provide humanitarian and development assistance to refugees, jointly resolve the global refugee problem and promote the implementation of the Transforming our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
