The Inner Mongolia International Energy Conference opened in Ordos, in the autonomous region, on Aug 10, and will run until 13, according to a local news release.
With support from the regional government, the conference was hosted by the Inner Mongolia Grasslands Cultural Protection and Development Foundation.
Under a theme of “Exploring new routes to energy development in a new era”, the conference attracted more than 300 participants and attendees, including Novel Prize winners, academics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, scholars from foreign and domestic institutes, representatives of leading new energy companies and assorted government officials.
Three forums have been scheduled under the following themes: “Innovative efficiency and clean use of traditional energy”; “technologies and innovations in new energy”; and “energy environments and building a sustainable future”. Attending scholars will discuss various topics related to the development and use of energy over the next few days.
Inner Mongolia has long been a region abundant in energy resources. The conference will facilitate research and technological innovation in the region, and provide solutions in line with the regional development of Inner Mongolia’s energy resources.
