Find peace of mind in secluded Beishan town

Beishan is a tourist town located in the north of Changsha county. Its stunning landscapes attract thousands of people a year.

The famous Beishan Forest Park integrates geography, hydrology, astronomy and humanistic landscape. Dujuan Mountain, at an altitude of 326 meters, is the most popular mountain in the park and is blanketed in blossoming azaleas every spring.

Rare stones, terraced fields, traditional farmhouses, and different varieties of flowers can be seen in Dongyang Valley of Flowers in Beishan Forest Park.

Mingyue Mountain is the tallest mountain in Changsha county at an altitude of 658.5 meters. As the river descends from the plateau, it forms a number of magnificent waterfalls, including Qingping and Hehuakeng falls. The waterfalls can be more than 50 meters high and 15 meters wide during the rainy season.

There is also special food in Beishan town due to the area's unique natural resources. The green plums of Fengmei Ridge have been handed down since the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and are still well known throughout the country.
