Ferry services across south China's Qiongzhou Strait will be fully suspended starting from 10 pm Thursday due to strong winds, local authorities said.
According to the marine board in the city of Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province, the wind on the strait between Guangdong and the island province of Hainan, will become as strong as 50 to 60 km per hour in the early hours Friday.
Ports and passengers are advised to take precautions against the extreme weather.
