The sixth Inner Mongolia Agricultural and Livestock Products Expo opened in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on August 2.

The five-day expo will display 3,720 varieties of products involving seven major industries, such as meat, vegetables and milk.

A total of 551 enterprises specializing in producing and processing agricultural and livestock products are attending the expo. Over 200 purchasers are also present.

In addition to 12 exhibition areas for cities and leagues, the expo has also set up a new horse industry pavilion to showcase publications, videos, works of art and other horse-related products and promotions.

A pavilion of 10 major projects focusing on high-quality development in agriculture and animal husbandry displays all achievements made since the launch of the projects through physical products and display panels.

During the expo, a series of forums will be hosted, including those on the potato industry, the Inner Mongolia international horse industry, and the beef and mutton industry.

At the forums, discussions will focus on how to boost the rapid development of agriculture and animal husbandry.

The event is jointly hosted by the agriculture and animal husbandry department of Inner Mongolia, the region's housing and urban-rural development department, and Hohhot Municipal People's Government.

The expo has become a platform to promote Inner Mongolia's agricultural and livestock products and a driver of local economic growth.
