This year marks the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up policy. Exhibitions of fine arts, calligraphy and photography showcasing regional economic and social development over the past four decades were on display in Hohhot on Aug 5.
The event was held at Inner Mongolia Gallery as part of the 15th China Inner Mongolia Grassland Culture Festival.
Bai Yugang, director of the Publicity Department of Inner Mongolia Party Committee, attended the opening ceremony.
The exhibitions gathered 514 pieces of fine art, calligraphy and photography work, showcasing a variety of changes the region has gone through in aspects of economic development, ethnic unity, cultural prosperity, border security, and ecological protection.
