Shandong Airlines launched flights linking Harbin in Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province, and Jinan in East China’s Shandong province, to Wuyishan in South China’s Fujian province on Aug 1.

The airplane used for the service is Boeing 737 and it runs every day with the flight number SC4655/6.

The flight departs Harbin Taiping International Airport at 10:25, before stopping at Jinan for 55 minutes, and arriving in Wuyishan at 15:40. After a 50-minute layover at Wuyishan Airport, the flight lands back in Harbin at 22:00.

The Harbin-Jinan-Wuyishan flight is the first and the only flight linking connecting Harbin to Wuyishan.

The new service is being offered to meet the increasing demand for travel and trade between Harbin, Jinan and Wuyishan.

Currently, to promote the newly-opened route, passengers can enjoy tickets priced as low as 810 yuan ($117.95) for a one way Harbin-Wuyishan flight.

Harbin is an economic, cultural and political center of Northeast China, and plays an important role in boosting foreign trade between China and Russia.

Jinan, the layover site of the Harbin-Jinan-Nanning flight, is one of East China’s most renowned historic and cultural cities. Jinan is also one of the birthplaces of the Longshan culture, named after Zhangqiu’s Mount Longshan, a late Neolithic civilization inhabiting the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River.

Wuyishan city has a frame for its Wuyi Mountain and tea, attracting countless tourists to appreciate beautiful mountain scenery.
