Shenyang, capital city of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, is a city integrating profound historical and cultural deposits and modern urban atmosphere.
Yunyang Pavilion is a typical architecture revealing Shenyang’s mixed temperament.
Located in Heping district of Shenyang city, Yunyang Pavilion has a long history that dates back to the Liao Dynasty (916-1125).
The existing Yunyang Pavilion is newly-rebuilt with steel structure while still keeping the traditional style of the Liao Dynasty.
It is divided into five parts and covers an area of 698.7 square meters. The building's height has now reached 20.5 meters.
It was reopened to the public on May 15, 2017.
Shenyang’s government revealed that the rebuilt Yunyang Pavilion will serve as a professional performance site, where the annual Hunhe Symphony Concert and other cultural performances will be held. It will also attract tourists looking for an attractive scenic spot.
