Youth wrestling camp opens in Hohhot

The 2018 Youth Chinese Wrestling Camp was held in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on August 2, attracting 118 wrestlers from 18 cities.

The event, organized by the Chinese Wrestling Association and the regional sports bureau, aims to promote Chinese wrestling across the country and help teenagers develop an interest in the sport.

Chinese wrestling, known as Shuaijiao in Chinese, was included in the First National Games of the People's Republic of China in 1959, winning wide popularity across the nation.

The camp, which ends on Aug 11, will offer skills training to young enthusiasts.
