The 13th Inner Mongolia Natural Science Annual Meeting was held in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on August 2.
Over 1,200 experts and scholars from China, the United States and South Korea attended the meeting to discuss hot topics in economic and social development.
Gu Xiaosong and Zhang Yingze, academicians at the Chinese Academy of Engineering were invited to attend the meeting and give lectures.
Themed “Innovation and Opening up”, the meeting will provide a platform for attendees to exchange ideas and present latest advancements in natural science, so as to push forward the industrial development of the region.
During the meeting, Chinese Society for Anatomical Sciences (CSFA) donated a total of 1,200 scientific books to the Science Association of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The unveiling ceremony of the Inner Mongolia branch of CSFA was also held on the same day.
The meeting, launched in 2001, has become the largest gathering of the highest level in Inner Mongolia science sector.
