Fiser Holding Group, Beijing Stylewe Network Technology Co, and Shenzhen Weiyida Supply Chain Company signed an agreement to begin work on several cross-border e-commerce projects in the Changsha Huanghua Integrated Free Trade Zone (FTZ) during the Hunan Cross-Border E-commerce Cooperative Meeting held in Hangzhou on July 26.
Wu Guiying, vice-governor of Hunan province, described Changsha's advantages in cross-border e-commerce in her opening speech. She said that Changsha has accumulated substantial experience in promoting cross-border e-commerce system innovation, management innovation, and service innovation, among other things. The Changsha Cross-Border E-commerce Comprehensive Experimental Area has been formally approved and has strong development potential.
Zhou Yue, deputy director of the Hunan Provincial Commerce Department, explained Changsha's preferential policies in support of the development of cross-border e-commerce enterprises, construction of public service platforms, export of independent brands, cultivation of leading enterprises, and so on.
Qiu Jixing, deputy mayor of Changsha, recommended key projects designed to boost Changsha's cross-border e-commerce on behalf of the Changsha Municipal People's Government. Three key cross-border e-commerce parks and projects, including the Changsha High-Tech Zone, Changsha Huanghua FTZ, and Changsha Jinxia Bonded Logistics Center, were recommended.
The event attracted more than 100 cross-border ecommerce companies, such as Alibaba, Jingdong, Suning, and NetEase Kaola, among others. Contracts were signed on site for nine cross-border e-commerce projects to be carried out in Changsha involving logistics, supply chains, finance and other fields. Companies included Fiser Holding Group, Beijing Stylewe Network Technology Co, Shenzhen Weiyida Supply Chain Company, Sunvalley Group and Shenzhen Youkeshu Technology Co.
The meeting is one of a series of major industry promotion activities to be held by Hunan Province in the Yangtze River Delta region. Up to now, Changsha has signed a total of 38 projects with an investment of 47 billion yuan ($6.9 billion), including 15 provincial projects with a total investment of 23.7 billion yuan.
