A delegation led by Zhang Jianhua, vice secretary general of Guangzhou municipal government paid a visit to the cities of London and Bristol in the UK from July 25 to 28.
The delegation toured Oxford Economics, a leader in global forecasting and quantitative analysis, the Bristol municipal government and the University of the West of England (UWE).
The delegation conducted in-depth discussions on strengthening specific cooperation between Guangzhou and the Oxford Economics and promoting Guangzhou-Bristol exchanges on issues related to education, culture and smart city construction.
Moreover, during their stay, the foreign affairs office of Guangzhou municipal government signed a cooperation agreement with UWE on enhancing cooperation in talent training and education.
Bristol and Guangzhou established sister cities relationship in 2001. The two cities have cooperated closely in the fields of education, culture, economy and trade, and the exchange and cooperation projects have achieved fruitful results.
