China National Building Materials Group (CNBM) recently inaugurated its Zambia Industrial Park in Lusaka, capital of Zambia.
An investment project bench-marking CNBM's involvement in the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative, the Zambia Industrial Park was built to provide the country with high-quality construction materials such as cement, aggregate, manufactured sand, commercial concrete and sintered brick.
The project is expected to create about 2,000 jobs and a large amount of tax revenue, as well as boost local transport, packaging and service industries.
CNBM says the park will boost Zambia's economy with quality construction products and services and contribute to the friendship between the two countries.
One of the largest State-owned building materials manufacturers, CNBM has emphasized expanding its business in countries and regions participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.
