全民健身指南 (quánmín jiànshēn zhǐnán): National Fitness Guidance

To implement the strategic deployment of the government's Healthy China 2030 plan and guide people's fitness, the General Administration of Sport of China has issued national fitness guidance that outlines the fitness effects of various sports activities to help people draw up safe, effective and personalized sports activity plans that are in accordance with each individual's physical condition, body shape, sports capacity and exercise habits. It is compiled based on studies of the national fitness situation in China over the past 15 years and big data about the public's sports and fitness activities. It not only provides guidance for various age groups, but also provides guidance for those suffering from various chronic diseases.

The guidance uses pictures and videos of 10 Olympic champions to demonstrate the standard actions of various sports activities with the demonstration videos accessed by scanning QR codes.

The General Administration of Sport of China has urged mainstream media to promote this guidance, in order to raise the fitness awareness of the public. Local authorities are also required to make detailed plans for applying the national fitness guidance.
