Dalian Forest Zoo is situated in the Baiyun Mountain Tourist Attraction in the south of Dalian city, Liaoning province, and covers an area of 7.2 square kilometers. The zoo houses nearly 3,000 animals and around 200 species, including kangaroos, flamingos, giant pandas, pythons and polar bears.
As a four-star tourist attraction and national science educational base, Dalian Forest Zoo meets the requirements of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
The zoo is divided into a captive area and a free-ranging area. The free-ranging area features an elevated wooden path where visitors can gaze at the animals below, while visitors can walk past the animals at ground level in the captive area.
In recent years, the zoo has been upgrading its facilities and expanding its scale of operations to maintain its reputation as a top quality day out for visitors.
