Five libraries in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, including Baotou Library and Tumd Right Banner Library, have been rated as national first-level libraries, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The results are part of the sixth national public library evaluation of county-level libraries and above.
In addition, the Library of Donghe district was rated as a national second-class library and the Library of Guyang county was rated as third-class.
Now in its sixth session, the national public library evaluation has been held every four years since 1994. It aims to further standardize the construction, management and service of national public libraries, as well as promote their development.
