Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner, a banner under the administration of Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has launched a new resort based on the area’s grassland attractions, according to Baotou Evening News.
The resort boasts natural grassland covering an area of 20,000 mu (1,333 hectares). It has a 40,000-square-meter dining and accommodation area and can receive some 1,000 tourists daily.
The design of the new resort is based on the picturesque grassland landscape of the banner, highlighting the best of Inner Mongolia’s scenery.
Mongolian yurt-shaped dining rooms are available at the resort, as well as Ovoos (sacred piles of stones) and recreation zones for traditional Mongolian sports, including archery and horsemanship.
