Shenyang chorus festival opens

The second China.Shenyang International Chorus Festival was unveiled at Shengjing Grand Theater in Shenyang on July 25. The festival is expected to play an important role in boosting the local tourism industry and promoting Shenyang’s city brand.

The event, jointly sponsored by China Chorus Association and the government of Shenyang city, runs from July 25 to July 28.

Tourists and local residents will have the opportunity to enjoy around 100 choral performances performed by 50 choirs from nine countries, including from Canada, Spain, Russia, Thailand, Argentina and Hungary. Around 2,000 performers are expected to take part in total.

At the opening ceremony of the second China.Shenyang International Chorus Festival held on July 25, classic songs including Adiemus, Esti Dal and Where has the Time Gone were staged.
