A group of journalists from 27 domestic and foreign media organizations paid a visit to Dalian, Liaoning province, July 19, to learn more about the city's economic progress over the past 40 years of reform and opening-up.
The journalists, including those from Rossiya Segodnya, Aju Business Daily, United Press International and China News Service, were jointly invited by the Liaoning government and All-China Journalists Association to take part in a seven-day fact-finding trip to report on the latest developments in the province.
During the trip, the journalists visited Dalian Software Park, Xinghai Square, Donggang Music Museum and Jinpu New Area, and were impressed by Dalian’s beautiful natural scenery and rapid economic and social growth.
It was the first time that Park Seon Mi, a journalist from Aju Business Daily, had visited Dalian. According to Park, many South Korean people know about Dalian and study or work in the city, due to its proximity to Liaoning. “There will be many opportunities for cooperation between the two sides in the future,” she said.
“The rich tourism resources in Dalian is the secret for its fast growth as a modern city,” said a Pakistani journalist Khan Muhammad Mjid, who expressed that he would write an in-depth report to let more Pakistani people know about the city.
