The city of Baotou in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region is to cooperate with Jiangsu Education Group on a new education complex, according to an agreement signed on July 17, reports Baotou Daily.
Bai Qingyuan, deputy mayor of Baotou, attended the signing ceremony.
According to the agreement, the two will develop a modern high-end private education park in Shiguai district of Baotou. The education park will include kindergartens, primary schools, junior high schools, high schools and training schools, with capacity for 6,000 students.
The education park will boast versatile facilities and venues that can host public events.
Construction work on the schools will be divided into two phases. The first phase will focus on the primary schools and the middle schools. Construction work will begin this month and be completed before September 2019 to ensure students are able to enroll in time for the new semester.
Construction work on the second phase will begin in October 2021, with completion expected by September 2022.
