The sixth National Youth Art Exhibition came to Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, for the first date on its national tour, Baotou Daily reported on July 20.

The exhibition, jointly hosted by the All-China Youth Federation, China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and China Artists Association, displayed a total of 194 pieces of art including oil paintings, traditional Chinese paintings, pictures created by printmaking, and sculptures.

The National Youth Art Exhibition, which started in 1957, has now been running for 60 years. It has been held every three years since its third session in 2008.

It has become an important event in the Chinese art calendar, alongside the National Art Exhibition and Beijing International Art Biennale.

The 17-day exhibition will run until July 21.
