Hohhot tea expo to open

The sixth annual Hohhot tea expo will be held at Inner Mongolia International Exhibition Center in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, from Aug 17 to 20, according to a press release on July 18.

This year's tea expo will be hosted by the regional committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Hohhot Daily and the regional association of international exhibitions.

The venue for the event, which covers an area of 20,000 square meters, will host 800 booths for over 500 firms from the national tea industry.

Participants will get the chance to experience different types of tea produced from the provinces of Yunnan, Fujian, Guangxi, Zhejiang, Hunan and Fujian and discover insider tips from the industry.

Other tea-related products like tea sets and tea foods will also be on display.

In addition, a series of themed activities are planned to create a fun atmosphere, including auctions, lectures, performances and competitions.

The expo is expected to help promote Hohhot's tea market and to strengthen ties and cooperation between national tea firms.
