The rare earth industry in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is to receive a further boost to its development with “Ten Policies for Supporting the Development of Rare Earth New Materials Industrial Park” recently enacted, according to local media reports.
The new policies set out in detail how Baotou city is to back the industrial park in terms of the supply of raw materials, land usage policies, preferential electricity prices, financial support, and in the recruitment of highly-skilled workers.
A rare earth metal industrial park is to be established in the core area of the industrial park, according to the plan. Public supporting facilities including roads, pipe networks, and water and electricity connections will be completed.
A total of five rare earth new materials projects have been introduced to the industrial park, taking advantage of the new policies and speeding up the introduction of key projects.
