A vocational skills competition is to open in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on July 19, according to Xinhua.
During the event, a vocational skills exhibition displaying national and autonomous region-level achievements will be held, including the introduction of the winner of the Chinese Skills Award, the National Handicraft Skills Exhibition, and an exhibition of achievements by highly-skilled individuals, as well as a technical education exhibition.
Also, the 8th National Numerical Control Skills Competition (Inner Mongolia Division) is due to be held during the event. Contestants will compete in three projects –– CNC, CNC milling, and CNC machine tool maintenance and repair.
During the event, the contestants will also develop their skills by working with outstanding competitors from the World Skills Competition in five different areas –– industrial control, electrical installation, welding, woodwork, and CAD mechanical design.
