Onyx-made building opens in Xiamen

The Lingyun building, the first in China to be made of onyx, recently opened in Xiamen, Fujian province, local media reported.

Covering an area of 8,074 square meters, the building features many onyx-related things, including daily household articles and supplies, artwares, a parent-child onyx-related amusement area and a manual workshop.

Gan Chuanhui, president of Lingyun Onyx, the owners of the onyxstone-made building, said at the opening ceremony that to make onyx become a common part of people's lives is his company's target.

Gan also believes that the future belongs to the young generation and therefore, many DIY activities are available in the Lingyun building to inspire young people's enthusiasm for onyx.

Headquartered in Xiamen, Lingyun Onyx is dedicated to onyx mining, onyx raw materials processing, and onyx products design and manufacturing.

In recent years, the company has sought cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road route and onyx from Pakistan and Iran has been sold to China and other countries by the Xiamen-based company.

Onyx is a gemstone that can be found in various countries around the world, including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Canada.
