The 2018 Harbin Roller Skating Marathon took place in the capital of Liaoning province July 14.
International participants from 31 countries including Germany, France, Spain, India, South Korea and Russia joined 685 players from 62 domestic teams to set new records for both the number of competitors and the size of the event.
Around 5,000 amateur roller skaters tested their skills and training in non-professional competitions.
Competitors could choose between a full marathon of 42 kilometers or events over 24 km, 18 km, 12 km, 6 km and a 3km mini-marathon.
To further promote roller-skating in Harbin, a summer camp for youth roller skaters and a training course were held alongside the competition.
The event was sponsored by the General Administration of Sport of China, Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau, the government of Harbin, and the Chinese Roller-skating Association.
