A public library design in the shape of a Mongolian hat is under construction on the urban grasslands of Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, reports Baotou Daily.
Preparations for the library’s construction began in June, and numerous facilities are currently being improved.
The library is expected to stock its shelves with 10,000 books. So far, in addition to the books purchased by the founders themselves, the library has also received many donations from Baotou residents.
All of the library’s books can be borrowed by Baotou residents free of charge. Making full use of the new venue, book club meetings, photography exhibitions and other cultural events will occasionally be held at the new library.
