An exhibition of amber fossils opened in Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, July 13, according to Baotou Evening News. Some 200 items are on display, including some rare pieces.
The exhibition aims to foster children's appreciation of arts and crafts through experiential education.
The exhibition will provide a variety of science lectures and interactive activities. Lectures will explore the relationship between global climate change, species extinction, the coexistence of humans and nature, and the latest biological advances as seen from the perspective of species evolution and insect behavior, as well as detail the various organisms encased in amber.
The exhibition will run until July 25.
