2018 China·Tianjin Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurship Conference opens

The 2018 China Tianjin Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurship Development Conference opened on July 12.

With the theme of “Innovation and Cooperative Development by overseas Chinese”, the meeting focused on the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Belt and Road construction, innovation-driven development, and free trade pilot zones.

The event aims to build a trading platform for foreign-invested trade and serve overseas Chinese in the development of Tianjin.

The reception was held at night. Zhang Guoqing, deputy secretary of the municipal party committee and city mayor delivered a welcome speech and deputy mayor Zhao Haishan was the host.

Zhang extended his thanks for the contribution that overseas Chinese have made to Tianjin’s development. Considering Tianjin’s advantageous location, deep industrial foundation and abundant science and talent resources, he hoped the meeting would inspire closer, deeper connects with overseas Chinese to achieve double-win results.

Xu Yousheng, deputy director of the Central United Front Work Department and director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, and Li Hongzhong, secretary of the municipal party committee, attended the meeting. Other participants included overseas Chinese businessmen and leaders as well as representatives from all walks of life.
