BEIJING — China had 16.807 million qualified registered trademarks by the end of June, the State Intellectual Property Office said on July 10.
China’s trademark applications reached 3.6 million in the first half of this year, up 57.5 percent year on year.
The growth of trademark applications was the result of streamlined processes and a shortened review cycle, according to the office.
The office expects the number of trademark applications will exceed eight million this year.
