Harbin Chemical Industry Park to be built in Yilan

Plans are afoot for the construction of Harbin Chemical Industry Park, which will be built in Yilan county, Harbin.

The industrial park has a planned area of 17.14 square kilometers, providing for the development of four key industries - the coal chemical industry, the fine chemical industry, the biochemical industry and the new chemical materials for chemical industry.

A total of 12 investment projects were signed at an industry promotion meeting held in Yilan county on July 5; including a pesticide production line project with an annual output capacity of 600 tons and a lead waste recycling project with an annual treatment capacity of 240,000 tons.

Additionally, Yilan county signed a cooperation agreement with the Harbin Institute of Technology to establish a nanoscale material technology research institute in Harbin Chemical Industry Park, mainly undertaking research and the commercialization of new technologies and new chemical materials.
