Harbin in Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province was voted one of the most popular summer resorts in China, according to information from the fourth China Summer Tourism Industrial Summit held in Northeast China’s Jilin province on July 7.
It was followed by Changchun in Jilin province, Dalian in Liaoning province, Guiyan and Anshun in Guizhou province, Kunming in Yunnan province, Qingdao and Yantai in Shandong province, as well as Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture and Dali Bai autonomous prefecture.
Harbin won the honor due to its pleasant summer temperature, plentiful tourism attractions, high-quality tourism services, and good feedback from visitors.
In recent years, Harbin has been building a reputation for its summer tourism, which has boosted the economic development of the city.
In 2017, Harbin received 77.13 million tourists, a year-on-year increase of 9.2 percent. And the city generated tourism revenues of 117.75 billion yuan ($17.80 billion), representing a year-on-year increase of 13.3 percent.
