Shenyang brings TB into Medicare payments

Recently, Shenyang released the 13th Five-year Plan of Tuberculosis (TB) Prevention and Cure, bringing TB into the Basic Medical (Special Disease) Coverage. Drugs belong to basic medicare drug directory but are not part of public health projects coverage and are supposed to be paid according to relevant regulations.

During the 12th Five-year, registered TB patients reached 21,830 throughout the city, including 7,578 new sufferers and 7,123 cured patients, and the cure rate is up to 93.99 percent. The rate of registration management and successful treatment is expected to exceed 90 percent by 2020.
