Yili pushes for the vitalization of dairy industry

China's dairy giant Yili launched an advanced management training course in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region on July 2, actively responding to the national appeals of regenerating dairy industry.

Li Shengli, vice-president of Dairy Association of China, Xu Ke, vice-president of Yili Group as well as representatives and technicians of breed industry gathered at the course to exchange ideas.

Kees de Koning, professor at Wageningen University, William Smith, director of management service of Asia - Pacific ranches at the DeLaval and other leading experts were invited to participate in the event.

This is the first time Yili is working with China Agricultural University (CAU) to help dairy farmers and technicians gain advanced management experience to operate modern ranch.

“Yili has been working on establishing long-standing partnerships with raw milk suppliers to share benefits and risks,” said Xu Ke, speaking at the opening ceremony.

According to cooperative mechanisms, Yili will help dairy farmers to improve and upgrade their breeding technologies as well as withstand market shocks, so as to clear the stumbling blocks on the path of development, Xu noted.

The training course is expected to further strengthen the ties between Yili and dairy farmers. With its modern management mechanisms, Yili will maximize the value of the whole industrial chain to help the dairy industry thrive.
