An investment and financing conference for promoting Shenyang’s advantageous industries and attracting investment took place in Shenyang, capital city of Northeast China’s Liaoning province from June 20 to 21.
Sponsored by the government of Shenyang and Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC, the event invited business representatives of financing institutes from 20 countries and regions, including those from UK, United States, Russia, Germany, Japan and France; as well as business representatives from Fortune 500 companies, large-scale transnational corporations, domestic leading businesses from sectors of financing, technology and intelligent manufacturing.
During the event, business representatives and scholars delivered speeches at five forums, centering on the opportunities and challenges businesses may face with the rejuvenation of Northeast China region, the future of Northeast China’s intelligent manufacturing industry, innovation of development model, domestic and overseas investment, and creation of an international business environment in Shenyang.
Meanwhile, four one-to-one matching meetings were held for businesses seeking cooperation opportunities in Shenyang, which received the attendance of around 130 business representatives from key foreign businesses such as Swiss Bank Corporation, London Stock Exchange Group and Russia Gazprom Bank. Preliminary cooperation intentions were reached involving education, financing, as well as import and export trade.
Additionally, 55 business representatives made a field visit to Shenyang’s key industrial parks and companies on June 21 to learn about the city’s economic and cultural development achievements.
