Foreign envoys visit Dalian

A delegation of envoys to China from Belgium, Germany, Japan, Russia, South Korea, the United States and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea visited Jinpu New Area in Dalian, Liaoning province, from June 28 to 30.

During the three-day trip, delegates visited local companies, government departments and scenic locations and admitted to being impressed by the area’s economic achievements and rich resources in both culture and tourism.

At a promotional conference June 29, Cong Ke, deputy director of the Jinpu New Area administration, spoke of the specialized development zone’s history before fielding questions from the envoys regarding plans for preferential policies and continued development.

Marc Vinck, Belgian ambassador to China, noted Jinpu New Area’s sound business environment, good industrial foundation and outstanding infrastructure. Vinck also expressed his hopes for a deeper partnership between Dalian and Belgium.
