Baita International Airport plans to open a direct seasonal flight route from Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region to Moscow, capital city of Russia, on July 8.
The flight route will be the first direct intercontinental route in Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The launch of the flight route is in a bid to push the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and deepen exchanges in trade, culture and tourism sectors between Russia and Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The regular flight will be operated by Tianjing Airlines on every Sunday under the flight number of GS7947/7948. The airbus 330 flight is scheduled to depart Hohhot at 11:00 am and arrive at Moscow at 19:05 pm while returning from Moscow at 21:25 pm and arrive at Hohhot at 04:45 am the next day.
