The Women Leaders in Ecology & Development Forum will be held on July 6 at the International Ecology Convention Center in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, government officials said at a press conference on June 25.
The forum is a part of the Eco Forum Global Annual Conference Guiyang 2018(EFG). It is the first time that EFG has highlighted the role of women since it was launched in 2009.
Females leaders from governments, business organizations and top companies from around the world will attend the forum, including Corinne Lepage, former French Environment Minister, and Peimin Huang, Secretary General of the Swiss Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
They will discuss how to promote economic growth while mitigating the effects of climate change. Topics will also include "Confronting the global climate crisis", "Building a power platform via block chain technology", and "Female development in global ecology".
It has been noted that "Women's actions on the climate change initiative" will be published at the forum, aiming to create a platform for female celebrities to run the campaign for climate change.
